"In your face!"

Thats what I would say if I were one of the pour souls who recieve countless emails from people complaining that NCsoft isnt perfect and incapable of making mistakes. Seriously, you people neeeeed to lighten up, its a game, you chose to pre-order it, thus putting money down to reserve your copy WHEN IT ARRIVES.

Actually it would take that long. I work in the design field, and producing a package like that is not the easiest thing in the world. Im positive they want to produce a certain amount before they go ahead and ship, rather than doing it in piecemeal. Also, it's very expensive for them to print all this. So they may actually want to wait until the cash rolls in from the standard version sales before they dump a ton of money into more CE's.

It looks like only a select few people are actually going to get their hands on CE by Friday. They should consider themselves very lucky.

I'd like to know why there are around 30 threads over the CE, when there's only the need for one.

if thats the case then to retailers should be saying "due to limited availability, we will be unable to fulfill you CE request, do you wish to change your order to the standard addition instead" because I just cancelled, my order because my online retailer said I had to do it by 6 pm CST, because as far as they were concerned it was a no go.

I have 2 gw accounts so I pre-ordered the regular one first, but I will probably get the CE sooner or later for my second account. Seem's though I made a good decision here because of this delay, however even if I did pre-order the CE this news wouldnt bother me at all.

LOL, June 30th? WTF are they manufacturing that takes 2 months? Too funny. Like anyone is going to wait for that. At the very least, just let me buy it thought NCSoft now, give me the key, and send me the box when it's ready please.

On a small positive note, they have extended the free preview 3 days to at least get people through the weekend.

And for those of you that can't find the North American CE page on Guildwars.com, here it is. http://www.guildwars.com/support/whe...rthamerica.php It appears all pages on their site linking to that page have been changed so you cant get to it.

Default Updated News on Collector's Edition

News on Collector's Edition 26 April 2006
We have great news about availability of the Guild Wars Factions Collector's Edition! As you may know, some stores are reporting a shortage of the Collector's Edition. In truth, it appears that we underestimated the demand and manufactured too few copies. In order to correct this shortage, we are currently producing additional copies of the CE. These copies have an anticipated ship date of June 30th. We sincerely thank the Guild Wars community for its incredible support of Factions, and look forward to seeing you in the game soon!

Um...wth...

They took this long to make a public announcement...and it is JUNE 30th... which is like in TWO MONTHS

I could understand if the anticipated delay is 2 days or even two weeks they wouldn't make an announcement sooner...but TWO MONTHS?

I will check the store for the CE I preordered and if they don't have it I am just getting standard.

Which really helps when the thing will take 2 months to remake.
Do they honestly expect people to buy it when it comes out in June? The stuff that came with it was trinkets, and even more so when compared to the fact you got a headset with the original CE.

hmmmm.. this is like xbox360 storage that we got after the launch and peoples couldn't get one till 6 month after. I bet PS3 will be hit with the same problem. Wonder if future expansion for Guild Wars will have this type of issue again and imagine how many angry customer who either cancel their preorder or drop out of guild wars and play something else for good?

I think it's pretty safe to say that they understand something went majorly wrong, and they will need to accept their losses on this one. Not too many people will be getting CE in June. Maybe some people who have not yet purchased the game, but I would imagine that number is probably pretty small.

It's kind of funn how they describe this as "great news". Yeah, im sure the people that preordered CE expecting to get it on Friday will be completely thrilled that they now have to wait 2 months. That sounds like awesome news to me. Lol

I am sorry to say waiting until June 30th to pay more money to the game company(ANET) i wish to support then get told that i should buy a normal ed to secure my 2 slots i make in the headstart +10 days grace and buy collectors ed again just to add key to get special dance emote is total BS.

NCsoft get a freaking clue. Please this is a PR disaster no matter how you look at this.

I was serious about buying CE but now i am seriously having second thoughs with all this BS floating around.
